From your first visit, you will find a real welcome, music you know and love, and a stronger sense of belonging from the very start.

No auditions. No pressure. Just a joyful way to start singing.

Adults of all ages welcome — beginners especially.

No need to read music — just come along and join in.

Local choirs with big energy and real friendship.

Try 2 free sessions before you decide if it’s right for you.

Live music, bigger moments and belonging from day one.

The People’s Show Choirs are not just local choirs.

We are an award winning national music movement built from real communities.

Unlike traditional choir organisations, we combine local belonging with live music experiences, emotional performances and charity-driven purpose.

So people do not simply join to sing.

They join to become part of something bigger than themselves.

Every local choir becomes part of something extraordinary.

Every rehearsal connects to real human connection.

Every performance proves that ordinary people can create unforgettable moments together.

Don’t miss out!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST SESSION

If you’re feeling nervous, you’re not alone. Here’s how a typical session flows:

Arrive and be welcomed

We’ll greet you, show you where to stand, and help you feel comfortable. No awkward spotlight moments.

Warm-up (easy, fun, no pressure)

Sessions start with short guided warm-ups to wake up your voice and get everyone relaxed.

Learn the song in chunks

We build it step-by-step, repeating as needed. You can join in straight away — or ease in quietly until you’re ready.

Harmonies

If we split into parts, you’ll be clearly guided. You don’t need to “find your harmony” alone — we’ll help.

A break and a chat

Take a proper breather and get a chance to say hello to the people around you.

Leave with a plan

We’ll share the next rehearsal details and how to book your second free session. You only join if it feels right.

WHY PEOPLE JOIN – AND WHY THEY STAY

People often join because they want to sing. They stay because of how it makes them feel.

You’ll feel welcome fast

You don’t have to “know someone” to come along. We’ll help you settle in and feel part of it from day one.

Confidence grows naturally

We learn in a supportive way, with clear guidance. You’ll improve without even realising you’re doing it.

You’ll leave feeling lighter

Singing together has a way of lifting your mood — and giving your week something to look forward to.

MUSIC YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SING

Some choirs ask you to warm to the music over time. At The People’s Show Choirs, the connection is already there. You will sing songs drawn from shows, films, games and TV, alongside huge feel-good favourites people already know and love. From Try Everything in Zootopia and The Place Where Lost Things Go from Mary Poppins Returns to Proud Corazón from Coco, the repertoire is chosen to spark recognition, emotion and joy from the very start. Add songs like Africa, Dancing Queen and Grace Kelly, plus live music in rehearsals, and every week feels more energising, more memorable and far more uplifting.

That is what makes this feel different. The songs are chosen not just because they sound good, but because they mean something. They carry memories, lift the mood and bring people together quickly in a room full of voices. Remember the first time a song gave you goosebumps? Imagine standing inside that music instead of listening to it. Every rehearsal is filled with songs you’ve laughed with, cried with, danced to and sung in the car for years. Now imagine hearing hundreds of voices around you singing them too. That’s a feeling Spotify can never give you.

FIND THE CHOIR THAT FITS YOUR WEEK

The People’s Show Choirs are a growing network of local choirs, each with the same welcoming spirit and uplifting format, but each with its own community, venue and personality. Find the choir that suits your location and your routine, then take your first step.

Our members include people from all walks of life, including carers, NHS workers, parents, professionals, retirees and people who simply wanted something brighter in their week. What brings them together is the feeling that they have found a place where they can belong.

It only takes a minute.

Across the UK, hundreds of people gather every week not just to sing, but to heal, laugh, and connect. From carers to NHS workers, from new mums to retirees, our members say the same thing: “I was lonely. Now I have a choir family.”
