What People Are Saying About Us

I have been a member of The People's Show Choir Shrewsbury since the very beginning over 2 and a half years ago. I never considered myself to be a singer or be able to sing. I came along with a friend when she joined. I can honestly say that it’s the best group I have ever joined. The feeling of performing together with an orchestra is so uplifting and powerful. We have performed in some incredible indoor and outdoor venues. But the best thing about choir is the people! The massed events are a wonderful way to connect with other choirs. There are so many kind, thoughtful and genuine people who are part of our choir family and when you are having a really rough week, choir is like a shining beacon of light which can help pull you through! It’s so good for my mental health to be able to immerse myself one evening a week in the positivity of our choir in Shrewsbury, run by the talented Lorna. There is never any pressure to learn words, remember everything, attend everything, it’s such an inclusive place where anyone is welcomed.

Thank you to the team at TPSC. I’ve really enjoyed learning a variety of songs and found a greater benefit to my wellbeing that I ever expected.

If you are thinking about joining then do. It’s been the best move I’ve made after joining the The People's Show Choir Shrewsbury. You’ll get to meet a lot of new people, have a wonderful time singing at the larger concerts with the other The People's Show Choir and also do local events within your own area. It’s truly fabulous and uplifting.
