- The People’s Orchestra and The People’s Show Choir subscription costs £22 a month – that’s a little over £5 a week.
- Supported (concessionary) subscription is £14 a month for students, those who are unemployed, or receiving benefits.
- Bursaries are also available, because cost should never stand in the way of your love for music.
Your subscriptions help us provide 36 inspiring rehearsals a year per group— 12 each term — with half-term breaks built in.
The People’s Big Band subscription is £18 a month for 18 Big Band rehearsals a year
And it goes far beyond your weekly rehearsal. You can attend rehearsals at other locations across our network, access digital resources, courses and workshops, take part in local and major performances, join tours and international experiences, and connect with our wider online community. It’s all part of your subscription.

Your subscriptions help us hosts 12 weeks of inspiring rehearsals per group each term – that’s 36 engaging sessions a year – with half‑term breaks to rest, recharge, and enjoy life’s rhythm.
THE RUSTY PLAYER’S ORCHESTRA
Your £12/month supporter subscription is a regular donation that keeps this programme running and affordable for everyone. It helps fund bi-weekly rehearsals (6 sessions each term with a half-term break — 18 sessions a year), our venue costs, and the professional musical leadership that makes each session feel welcoming, uplifting and well-run.
Rehearsals are led by professional conductors and supported by live music. Each session lasts 120 minutes, including a tea and coffee break.
We’re committed to inclusion. Bursaries are available on request, so cost is never a barrier to taking part.
If you’d like to perform, there are plenty of optional opportunities through local events and festivals — but there’s no pressure to take the stage. And if performing is a dream that currently feels daunting, you’ll have access to a professional performance mentor who can support you step-by-step towards feeling confident.
This subscription is a voluntary donation, not a payment for goods or services. Any supporter benefits we provide will remain within HMRC donor benefit limits, so we can claim Gift Aid when you complete a valid declaration.

Can I try a group before subscribing?
Yes. Your first two sessions are free.
You can meet the group, experience a rehearsal and decide whether it feels right for you before subscribing. There is no payment required for your first two sessions and no obligation to continue afterwards.
What does my subscription include?
Your subscription includes regular rehearsals with professional musical leadership, as well as opportunities to take part in performances, workshops, digital resources and wider activities across The People’s Orchestra community.

Can I attend other locations?
Yes.
People’s Show Choir subscribers can attend rehearsals at other People’s Show Choir locations across the network, giving you greater flexibility if you miss your usual rehearsal, are travelling or want to sing with another group.
Orchestra and Big Band members may also be able to attend other suitable rehearsals or activities where their instrument and experience are appropriate.
