We are looking for a conductor who can confidently create a nurturing environment for adult learners to thrive in with The Rusty Player’s Orchestras.

Rustys is far from your typical orchestra. Targeted at adult players who have gone some time without picking up their instrument, rustys attracts people from all walks of life and with varying levels of confidence and ability. We’re looking for a conductor who can bring out the best in players who haven’t picked up their instruments in a while or are new to starting out with their instrument; someone who can confidently guide players through the nitty gritty of learning a piece of music and help bring the sound to life.

This is not an orchestra chasing perfection. It’s a space where people reconnect with creativity, rebuild skills at their own pace, and enjoy the simple pleasure of playing alongside others. If you believe music is as much about belonging as it is about technique, you’ll fit right in.
