Typical level is confident intermediate–advanced (often around Grade 7+ or equivalent experience). If you’re close and keen, come along — attitude, consistency and ensemble skills matter.

  • Do I need to audition?

There’s no formal audition. We’re focused on welcoming committed musicians and creating a great sound together. If you’re unsure about the level, sign up and tell us a bit about your experience — we’ll help you find the best fit.

    Event Details
  • Is this a paid job or voluntary?

This is paid, self‑employed work with clear rehearsal fees and concert income potential, not a voluntary post

    Event Details
  • What support do I get with marketing and admin?

You’ll benefit from the charity’s central branding, website, major event planning and guidance, while still having the autonomy to build relationships locally.

  • Can I fit this around teaching, performing or another job?

Yes. Many leaders treat this as part of a portfolio career, combining it with peripatetic teaching, classroom work or performance
