Will Hampson

Will joined the team in 2025 as TPO's Assistant Orchestra Manager. A trombonist, pianist and percussionist originally from North Yorkshire, Will completed firstly a Bachelors in Music and then a Masters in Composition & Sonic Art at Prifysgol Bangor University in North Wales between 2021 and 2025.

Will lives and breaths orchestral music. As a composer, he has had his orchestral works performed by the likes of Bangor University Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, travelled to Canada and the US to see his works set to choreography and orchestrated several pieces performed in a high-profile tribute concert. Will also spent 2 successful years conducting the Bangor University String Orchestra during his time in Cymru.

Other than the musical world, Will loves the natural world and exploration. This passion has seen him travel across the world, co-found a successful litter-picking group with his family and climb no fewer than 105 different mountain peaks in North Wales alone!
