Mariann Harris

Mariann Harris works for The Peoples Orchestra, where she has supported the back to work programme for over a decade. This role involves providing job and career direction to those in need, as well as CV creation and specific 1 -1 guidance on how to impress at job interviews. During her time at TPO, Mariann is confidents she has helped get more than 1,500 people back into paid employment, further training, or higher education. It’s a really enjoy for her to listen to people talk about their career aspirations. She loves being a mentor and watching others develop and find their way. She also gets true satisfaction from leading group conversations towards a positive conclusion. In her home life, Mariann loves getting lost in listening to music from the movies, especially grand love themes. Her all-time favourite is the soundtrack from The Piano. On Saturdays she gets busy preparing and cooking tasty meals to a set budget. The greatest achievement of her life, she would say, would be supporting her daughter to achieve her career goal and reach financial independence.
