Camila Valerio

Camila Valerio is a Portuguese pianist and piano teacher based in Birmingham. She started playing the piano at the age of eight and graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she studied piano with Dr. Daniel Tong and Katharine Lam.

Alongside studying music, Camila also studied visual arts in Portugal. She has since found ways to combine art with music by creating and designing educational material for her lessons. Camila is passionate about teaching and dedicates much of her time working with young musicians. She sees music and art as powerful tools for nurturing creativity and well-being in the next generation.

Currently, Camila is an accompanist for The People’s Show Choir South Birmingham, a piano teacher at Progress Music Academy and Small Heath Leadership Academy in Birmingham, and at the English Martyrs’ Catholic School in Leicester. She is set to start a Masters in Music Education at UCL in September 2024.
