What People Are Saying About Us

I think this is a wonderful orchestra which has been formed by local people enjoying having the opportunity to play their instruments and giving pleasure to others attending their concerts.

Roberta Martin

After a 20 year break in picking up the Cello I was told about The Rusty Player's Orchestra. Thinking it would be too big a step too soon I was pleasantly surprised when I attended my first of 2 trial sessions. There is no pressure to get it right first time, the focus is just on enjoying making music and the rest naturally follows! The orchestra members are a really warm and welcoming bunch and by the end of my first session I knew that being part of Rusty's was going to be a regular part of my life. It has fast become one of the highlights of my week and my love for making music is stronger than ever! Thank you Rusty's.

Alan Mumberson

Before I joined The Rusty Player's Orchestra, I'd been a fourth horn playing semibreves timidly at the back of multiple orchestras for 25 years. Rusty's encouraged me to play out, and now I'm playing solos, because of how much encouragement my efforts received. I'm learning that imperfection isn't failure.
