Job Vacancy for Content Creator

🚀 Full-time Content Creator (AI + Social)
🎵 The People’s Orchestra – Sandwell based, hybrid/flexible
📣 Make music, change lives
Ready to use your creativity and AI skills to do work that actually matters?
The People’s Orchestra is an award-winning charity bringing people together through music to tackle loneliness, boost wellbeing, and create vibrant opportunities for communities across the Black Country and beyond. From show-stopping concerts to grassroots choirs, everything we do is about changing lives through the power of music.
We’re looking for a Content Creator who lives and breathes social media, loves short-form video, and is excited by what AI can do for storytelling, not just for shortcuts.
What you’ll be doing
-
Capturing the energy of our concerts, choirs and community projects through on-location photo and video, from rehearsals to live performances.
-
Building a rich library of user-generated and employee-generated content by interviewing participants, spotlighting musicians and volunteers, and gathering behind-the-scenes moments.
-
Creating short-form and long-form content, including TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and supporting podcast and longer video production.
-
Developing and growing our TikTok presence and other channel-specific series, including live feeds from concerts, rehearsals and special events.
-
Editing content for multiple platforms so it feels native, polished and on-brand, optimising formats, hooks and thumbnails for maximum impact.
-
Working closely with the team to plan content around key events, stories and campaigns, ensuring a steady flow of engaging visual content.
You’ll be great at this role if…
- You have a proven track record in social media content creation and digital marketing, with examples you’re proud of.
-
You’re confident using AI platforms for design, copy, video and campaign optimisation – and curious about what’s coming next.
-
You know how to build brand visibility and engagement, not just rack up impressions.
-
You write sharp, human copy and have a strong eye for visual storytelling.
-
You’re skilled in video production and short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts).
-
You’re comfortable with analytics and using data to drive decisions.
-
You’re organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple deadlines without losing your creativity.
-
You care about music, community and the arts, and you want your work to have real-world impact.
Bonus points for experience in the charity or arts sector, photography/graphic design (Canva, Adobe, CapCut), SEO or digital ads, or mentoring others and a driving license
What you’ll get
-
The chance to be part of an inspiring charity that makes a genuine difference in people’s lives through music.
-
A creative, supportive, and collaborative environment where ideas are welcomed and tested.
-
Space to experiment with cutting-edge AI and digital tools as part of your day-to-day work.
-
Staff perks including concert tickets, training opportunities and flexible working arrangements.
🎯 If this sounds like you, we’d love to see:
