Dudley Show Choir Pianist Vacancy

The People’s Show Choir is expanding, and we are excited to be launching a brand new choir in Dudley. We are now recruiting a pianist to become part of our friendly musical team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a pianist who enjoys accompaniment, community music-making, and being part of something uplifting and meaningful.

The People’s Show Choir is a charity dedicated to bringing people together through singing. We’re proud to create an environment of belonging, encouragement, confidence-building and joy — welcoming singers of all backgrounds and abilities.

You will accompany weekly rehearsals, supporting a choir that sings mainly music from stage and screen, with occasional material from rock and pop. You will always be provided with written piano scores in advance, and while sight-reading is a helpful bonus, it is not essential. Warm ups and rehearsal structure are led by the choir leader, and you will be guided clearly in advance regarding any warm-up accompaniment needed.

Venue: Primrose Hill Community Church, Chapel St, Netherton, Dudley DY2 9PN
Day: Mondays (term-time only – 36 rehearsals per year)
Time: 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Instrument: Piano/keyboard provided on site
Pay: £45 per rehearsal
Start Date: Monday 23rd February 2026

There may also be opportunities for additional paid work linked to performances and events for those who wish to be involved beyond rehearsals (completely optional).
