Charlotte Barber
Accompanist to The People's Show Choir Halesowen
Charlotte started learning piano when she was 3 and trumpet when she was 8. She progressed through the grades and achieved Grade 8 distinction in both. She accompanied the Bournville Young Singers as a teenager and was a chorister at Bournville Parish Church and St. Philip's Cathedral Girls' Choir. Charlotte's studies continued at Birmingham Conservatoire, where she achieved a BMus (Hons) and a PGCert in organ and harpsichord. She joined the City of Birmingham Brass Band and became principal cornet.
Charlotte now works as the Co-Director of Music at Bournville Parish Church and accompanies school and adult choirs. She is an Assistant Carillonneur at Bournville Carillon, where she plays regularly. She also has a busy piano teaching practice and teaches young children and adults from beginners to advance level.
