Saphran Ali

Saphran Ali is a Midlands based musician, educator, and conductor. Born and bread in the Birmingham area, Saphran has worked and played at many of the top brass bands, wind bands and orchestras around the country. He has performed at many of the top venues around the world, including a career highlight, performing at the Lincoln Center in Manhatten, NYC. Saphrans passion however lies in education, passing on his knowledge and expertise to others. He is a brass teacher and assistant Head of ensembles for Services for Education, the music service for Birmingham, and a trustee for Brass Bands England. Further to this, Saphran also conducts various brass bands, big bands and orchestras across the West Midlands, including Langley Community Brass, Birmingham Schools' Brass Band, City of Birmingham Brass Band, The People's Big Band and today's orchestra, the People's Orchestra.
