Virtual Summer Concert 2020

Virtual Summer Concert: 5pm on Saturday 22nd August 2020

Join our Orchestra Manager live as she showcases the hard work that members of The People’s Orchestra, The Rusty Players Orchestra and The People’s Show Choir have put in behind the scenes during the lockdown months.

There will be something for all the family with well-known songs from past and present, a little audience participation* and music from award-winning film composer John Koutselinis.

*We won’t be able to see you, as it is a one-way stream…but we will welcome any photos/videos shared with us on social media to show us how you are taking part! #TPOVirtualSummerConcert

How do I watch the concert?

To access the live stream, simply visit The People’s Orchestra Facebook page on Saturday 22nd August at 5pm. You do not need to have a Facebook account to be able to access the live stream.

You can also join the Facebook event page in advance, in order to received updates and reminders about the concert. Please feel free to share this far and wide on social media!

Can I make a donation to The People’s Orchestra in lieu of buying a ticket?

Yes! While this is a free concert, you can make a donation in lieu of a ticket on our donation page should you wish. All donations are very gratefully received and go straight back into the running costs of The People’s Orchestra and its community work (Charity Number 1151321).

Is there a limit to how many people can attend?

Not at all! Please share with all your family and friends and invite them to watch alongside you. They will just need an internet connection and access to our Facebook page.

If I miss the live stream, will I be able to watch it afterwards?

Unfortunately not, as it is a live event. You should be able to rewind to the beginning at any point while we are still live, however.

We look forward to ‘seeing’ you there!

Warm wishes,

The People’s Orchestra Team
