Sign up to enter our composition competition for the chance to win participation in our international, collaborative pieceand a £100 prize. 

Are you a composer? Would you like to hear your composition performed in a global collaboration? If so, this project is for you! 

Sign up ensures entry into our composition competition, where you will create a single eight-bar piece in any style over a provided bassline, submitted in mp3, score and short blurb form, to be assessed by our panel of esteemed judges.  

You will be sent all the resources you will need to compose your piece to our requirements and will receive further resources and information if you are one of our chosen winners. The pack includes: 

  • – Provided 8-bar bassline 
  • – A click-track 
  • – Instructions for recording 
  • – A copy of the finished Commonwealth-wide Anthem

Winning submissions will be compiled into a Commonwealth-wide ‘Anthem’, and winners will receive a monetary prize of £100, exchanged into the relevant currency.* 

The piece will be shared around the world during the summer of 2022 to celebrate the Commonwealth and its music. 

*There will be only be one winner per Commonwealth nation. 

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Submissions will be judged by our panel of experts in the autumn of 2021. Winners will be notified in November 2021 and asked to create a video recording of their work. This will need to be sent to us by 31st January 2021. 

Recordings received after this date will not be accepted.
