How you can help

Donate to The People’s Orchestra

...and help us spread our message and music in support of our community. Donations are tax-deductible and go toward rehearsal, performance, music purchase and composition and administrative costs.

Chosen by the BBC as one of the top 5 best and most inspirational amateur orchestras in the UK The People’s Orchestra brings world-class musical performance to Birmingham and The Black Country.

Under the baton of Professional Conductor Rob Spalton, we have set our sights high and have an ambition not only to build on the magnificent artistic excellence but also to enrich the lives of even more people through inspiring multimedia concerts and community engagement programs. Across the musical world the unique format of community engagement and musical excellence found at The People’s Orchestra has generated excitement and all eyes are on TPO and the exciting times ahead.

As an independent orchestra

We rely on funds from individuals and organisations to continue contributing to the wellbeing of the local community.
To fund our orchestra and community projects we need to raise £160,000 from private supporters in the year ahead.

Remember the name, and see them when you can, we have a feeling that tickets for future performances will be difficult to get your hands on once word spreads

Gifts & Donations

Play your part in ensuring that The People’s Orchestra performances continue to enrich our concert halls and cultural calendars;

Join us or make a donation to get closer to our musicians and our work while providing vital support for our world-class concerts and community programmes.

Membership is a great way to get closer to the music, the orchestra and its musicians and now is an incredibly exciting time to join us at The People’s Orchestra. We’d love to give you the chance to sit in on rehearsals, to meet musicians at our afternoon teas and other special events, and to receive behind-the-scenes information about what we are up to, as well as priority booking before concerts go on sale to the general public.

Those giving at higher levels have the opportunity to travel with us on tour, experience educational work, connect with individual musicians, meet other members for drinks at concerts and support specific concerts.
